I’m Darlene, a Communications student with a deep love for creativity and design.

 

As I prepare to receive my bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, I’ve grown a strong appreciation for storytelling and creative expression. That creativity has always been a part of me, especially through design and working with my hands

Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by it. I watched my Nana do alterations and bring pieces to life, and my aunt would make blankets for me, which gave me such an appreciation for things that are made with care and intention. That’s where my love for crafting really began, and it’s something that has stayed with me ever since. Over time, that creativity has become a meaningful part of who I am and how I express myself.

 

I’m also so thankful to the Lord for His guidance in this chapter and for how quickly this business has grown. I am also so blessed to be surrounded by such loving and supportive people who continue to encourage me to pursue the things I care about. My boyfriend is the most incredible partner I could ever ask for, and he is just as much a part of Ruffled Pup as I am. It has been so special to watch something that started small turn into something with so much meaning.

 

Everything I create is rooted in that same love, intention, and creativity, and it’s something I carry into every single piece.
